 Nan Wilson

Nan Wilson started MAM in 2000 with a vision to bring together the primary facets of music royalty collection. Years of advertising experience with agencies, media buying and music production had revealed new, more efficient methods for collecting music royalties not yet pursued within the industry.

As an Assistant Buyer at Independent Media, Nan gained an in-depth knowledge of media planning and how broadcast traffic (both network and non-network) interrelate to the collection process.

At Jeff Layton Music, Nan was an Executive Producer overseeing the day-to-day operation of the music production process. From this experience she became committed to the idea of a composer having a successful business as well as a creative endeavor.

As a Music Business Manager at Grey Advertising Nan was intricately involved in all areas of music business affairs. Most importantly she gained a compassion for the stressful environment of ad agencies, which now helps her quickly navigate inevitable issues that slow the publishing process down.

Unique in the industry thanks to her particular combination of advertising experience, Nan and her team are able to offer MAM clients a big picture view with a surgical and a la carte approach to the publishing and collection process.

Ella SwiftElla Swift has worked in the entertainment industry since 2005. Initially working for international photography agency photokunst, her passion for supporting artists and their craft led to her role as Production Manager for The Gothic Catalog and its collection of independent classical music labels. Film work recently brought Ella back to her native Michigan. Based in Grand Rapids, Ella takes care of the music royalty administration needs for MAM’s Music House and Individual Composer clients. Daisy Dog is Ella's office assistant and personal trainer.

Nate WilsonNate Wilson joined MAM in 2009 with a passion for music and composers' rights. Based in the Northwest, Nate handles Individual Composer clients, as well as MAM's ad hoc transportation and international administration needs.

Kelli NicholsKelli Nichols joined MAM in January 2011.  Her background is very diverse- from data collection on fishing boats in Alaska to telecommunications.  And while new to the music industry, she has always had a passion for music and likes to DJ parties and compose playlists for friends in her spare time.  She is located on Vashon Island in Washington State and handles royalty administration for music libraries.

Iris SpringIris Spring this year, we brought on a new member to Team MAM!  Iris Spring is now the Administrative Intern to CEO of the company, Nan Wilson.  She is also producer of the MAM newsletter. Iris has been surrounded by music her whole life -- receiving her first violin for her 9th birthday.  She began teaching herself the guitar as she entered high school.  She plays with the band The Four Horsemen, and is currently completing her Senior year of high school through the Running Start program at Seattle Central Community College.
